Dr. Renae Gerschutz

Dr. Renae Gerschutz earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University in 2003 after completing her undergraduate studies at Bowling Green State University. She and her husband, Jay, live in Defiance with their ever-growing family of rescued pets, including dogs, cats, chickens, and a turtle. Their animals are truly part of the family and reflect Dr. Renae's lifelong passion for helping pets in need.

Dr. Renae loves every aspect of veterinary medicine. Whether it's a routine wellness visit, a challenging medical case, or helping a senior pet enjoy its golden years, she finds joy in caring for animals whose owners are committed to giving them the best life possible. She especially treasures the relationships she builds with her patients and their families, believing that trust, communication, and compassion are the foundation of exceptional veterinary care.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Renae enjoys spending time with her own pets, traveling, gardening, and being outdoors.
